WEEKLY CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY ALERT
Construction of the new SIEPR Academic Support Office Building began on Monday, May 5, 2008. The groundbreaking started on Monday, May 12th 2008.
During the week of July 7 through July 11, the construction crew will continue working on the storm drain and towards the middle of the week they will start with footing. The Lake Water tie in and sidewalk on Galvez Street will be completed by the end of the day on Wednesday, July 2nd. All parking spaces occupied by the construction crew on Memorial Way will be available the evening of July 3rd; however, on Monday, July 7th the construction crew will need to seal off three parking spaces for continued work along Memorial Way for the entire week. The construction crew will not work on Friday, July 4th. Continue to expect construction vehicles, dust, and noise along Memorial Way and Galvez Street.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Three-story office building of Occupancy Type B with a large conference room, Occupancy Type A.2 and a roof garden, Occupancy Type A.2. The materiality of the building will include steel construction with Stucco Cladding and stone trim. The roof will be clay tile and the windows will be a combination of curtain wall systems and punched windows. A courtyard will be created between the building and Galvez Street.
